What is Rooibos ?
Rooibos, Red Tea is a green shrub native to South Africa.
For several hundred years Rooibos has been used by the native Khoi Khoi tribe for beverage as well as coloring agent. They harvested Rooibos, bruised it on the rocks (bruising process releases naturally occurring enzyme that accelerates oxidation of Rooibos. At the Final stage Rooibos was left in the sun. Combination of enzymes, humidity and sun resulted in a delicious tasting beverage that we know today `
